2008 update on pricing. We hate to raise prices, but the price of a bushel of corn has risen to record levels and as corn is a major component in almost all animal feeds, the cost of feed has also gone up dramatically. The price for 50lbs of chicken feed has nearly doubled since April of 2007. Combined with the soaring price of gas, our inputs for growing poultry have risen considerably. Our grazing animals, such as sheep and goats and even the pigs, eat much less feed.
Free-Range Brown Eggs
$3.50 doz - These are FRESH eggs. Usually no more than a few days old. Free-range brown eggs are available year round.
Free-Range, Milk-fed Chicken
Due to the soaring cost of feed, we will not be carrying chickens in 2008.
Pasture-raised Turkeys - Milk-fed and Free-ranged
$? lb. - These fine birds are scheduled to be available for Thanksgiving. They will run in size from 12-20+ pounds, dressed. We sell them fresh, not frozen, as they are processed the week of Thanksgiving. Interestingly, a never-frozen turkey takes much less time to cook. Why settle for factory-raised turkey when the Hurry Burry Turkey is available. Pre-order yours now to make sure you have the best tasting bird for Thanksgiving. If you are interested in a turkey for Christmas, let us know.
